Effects light: Qflash T5dr fitted with wide angle diffuser and a blue gel. Measured @ approx. f/8
This image really shows the creativity and versatility of the Qflash lighting system in that studio quality lighting can be achieved anywhere!
The key light was fitted with a Quantum mini softbox and placed to camera right just out of shot and hard up against the wall. To control the excess "Spill" from the flash a piece of "Cine wrap" was moulded around half the softbox to block the light and narrow its beam.
TOP TIP; "Cine wrap" is a must have for any gadget bag. It's a tool stolen from the movie industry! Basically, its a matt black heavy weight tin foil that can be moulded into different shapes used to modify the shape of light.
The effects light was placed out of shot in the elevator. The wide angle diffuser was fitted to ensure a generous spread of light and colour the whole of the interior via the blue gel fitted.
The image was captured on a Canon 1ds MK3 fitted with a 24-105 IS "L" series lens set at 24mm. The shot was taken from the prone position to exaggerate the length of the model's legs and add a degree of dynamism to the shot, further exaggerated by tilting the camera.
